A network of investigators carried out the largest farm investigation the UK has ever seen, exposing the myth of welfarism across 45+ RSPCA Assured farms. A subsequent slaughterhouse investigation led to RSPCA leadership resignations including Chris Packham and Brian May.
More than 100 people aimed to halt the Grand National, the UK's largest horse race. The action generated 9 front pages and hours of broadcast air-time. Followed by disruptions at three more racing events, sheep rescues from royal land, greyhound racetrack demonstrations, and a banner drop at the Greyhound Derby Final.
June 2022: first occupation of MBR Acres and rescue of 5 puppies. December 2022: rescue of 18 more dogs — 2 intercepted by police and returned. 22 individuals from the second rescue charged, facing up to 10 years in prison.
More than 100 people voluntarily, repeatedly risked arrest blockading dairy distribution centres across the UK. Additional actions at Trooping the Colour, Big Ben, and supermarket milk aisles.
On 22 May 2021, 50+ people blockaded all four UK McDonald's distribution centres — shutting them down for 24+ hours and closing multiple stores. Followed by actions at the Scunthorpe facility and the London flagship.
Animal Rebellion is formed. Launched with 10,000 people at the Animal Rights March that year. In partnership with Extinction Rebellion, joined the October International Rebellion with an occupation at Smithfields — Europe's largest and oldest meat market.
